Life Size Replica Of Reggie Fills-Aime's Mii Shipping To Every Club Nintendo Member Soon

Starting next week, Nintendo will begin shipping life-sized replicas of Reggie Fills-Aime’s Mii according to Nintendo President Satoru Iwata. To smooth over any financial worries about the life sized figurine, which could be hundreds of dollars in shipping alone, an unannounced Nintendo Direct was released on the their YouTube page last week.

In it, Nintendo reiterated several times that there will be no cost to the user for this “wonderful piece of design and function.” It was also revealed that every Club Nintendo member would be rewarded with the six foot tall figurine without the need to place an order.

“Our goal is to have every user get a chance to experience the presence of Reggie Fills-Aime in their homes. To achieve this, we have already placed orders on behalf of every Nintendo Club member. They should be arriving within one to two weeks. Please, enjoy."

It was also revealed that the gift will be mandatory for all members of the club, “While we understand not everyone will be able to accommodate our masterpiece in their home the day of it’s arrival, we know they will find a way. We will ensure it.”
When asked how Nintendo planned to "ensure it" they seemed reluctant to comment stating only, “Of course that was just a fun comment to our loyal fans. But we would be very disheartened if something were to happen to our generous gift, were it not to find a place in every Club Nintendo member’s home. It would also equally be sad if something were to happen to your beloved Nintendo products, wouldn't it? So please, enjoy.”

It is a curious move for sure that raises several questions. Why would anyone want a giant Reggie Fills-Aime mascot in their house? Will the vision of it’s lifeless eyes staring deep into our own souls ever stop haunting our nightmares?

We are hopeful these questions and more will be answered in a future Nintendo Direct. Also announcing a new Metroid would be cool.
